About Old South Masonry, Raleigh, NCRaleigh masons. Built by hand.
We are a Raleigh masonry and hardscaping company.
Our masons build brick, block and stone by hand for homeowners, builders and designers.
Who we are
Masons who build it by hand.
Old South Masonry is a masonry and hardscaping company based in North Raleigh.
The company is owned and run by Mike Harrigan.
We are locally owned and operated, and we work across Raleigh and the Triangle.
Our masons build with brick, block and stone, laid by hand, course by course.
We take on residential and light commercial work for homeowners, builders, designers and contractors.
We believe in craft over shortcuts, because masonry shows every one of them in time.
We believe water is the thing to plan for, so footings, drainage, flashing and weep holes come first.
We also believe the work should match the house, in stone, brick, joint and scale.
Every job starts with a call and a walk of the site, so we see what you see.
You get a written estimate at no charge, and you know the plan before we break ground.
Then our crew builds it, keeps the site tidy, and sweeps up when the work is done.
What we believe
How we build.
Craft over shortcuts
We lay masonry the slow way, because hidden shortcuts show up as cracks later.
Plan for the water
Footings, base rock, flashing and weep holes keep water from doing the damage.
Match the house
Stone, brick, joints and scale are chosen to suit the home, not a catalog.
Clear and straightforward
You get a written estimate, plain answers and a site left clean.
Builders we work for
Built for the people who build homes.
