Footings & foundations

Everything above rests on this.

A building is only as steady as the ground work under it.

We pour concrete footings for homes, garages and additions, and slab foundations for sheds and outbuildings.

We also build block and pier foundations where the site and the structure call for them.

Rebar goes in where the plans call for it, tied in place and held off the ground so the concrete wraps it.

Before any concrete, we deal with the dirt: grading the site and preparing for drainage so water leaves the building.

We dig each footing to firm, undisturbed soil, and to the depth the plans call for.

We work with builders, homeowners and contractors, so the layout matches the drawings.

The work is built to the plans and left ready for inspection.

Call (919) 625-3963 and we will look at the site, read your plans, and write up a free on-site estimate.

What we build

Footings done right.

  1. Footings for homes

Concrete footings for new homes, dug to firm soil and formed to the plans.

  2. Garage and addition footings

Footings for garages and additions that tie in with the structure you already have.

  3. Slab foundations

Concrete slabs for sheds, workshops and outbuildings, graded to shed water.

  4. Block and pier foundations

Block walls and piers that carry a structure on a sound footing.

  5. Rebar reinforcement

Steel bar placed and tied to the plans before any concrete is poured.

  6. Grading and drainage prep

Site grading and drainage prep so rain runs away from the new foundation.

How it works

From the first call to the clean-up.

  1. 01

    Call with the plans

Send us the plans or tell us what you are building, and where the lot is.

  2. 02

    We walk the lot

We look at the slope, the soil and where the water goes, and we check access for the concrete.

  3. 03

    A written estimate

You get a clear written estimate, free of charge, laid out against the plans.

  4. 04

    We dig, pour, and clean

We excavate, form, place rebar and pour. Then we clear the site and leave it ready for inspection.

Around the Triangle

Foundations for Triangle ground.

Foundation work in the Triangle means dealing with red clay, and clay moves with the water in it.

That is why drainage prep matters as much as the concrete itself.

Many lots here slope, and a slope changes how we form, pour and grade around a footing.

Growth in Cary, Apex and Wake Forest keeps builders busy, and we work alongside them on footings and slabs.

Older homes inside the Beltline get additions and detached garages, and those footings have to tie into what is there.

Summer storms can fill an open footing trench fast, so we plan the pour with the weather in mind.

The work is ready for the inspector.

Do you pour slabs for sheds and outbuildings?

Yes. We work for builders, contractors and homeowners, and we follow your plans.

Call (919) 625-3963 for a free on-site estimate.

What is the difference between a slab and a footing?

A footing is a concrete base that spreads a wall’s weight into the soil.

A slab is a flat concrete floor or pad. Some buildings use both, and the plans tell us which.
