Near the old center, we look at what is already holding up and what is failing, then match it.
On newer lots, we check the grade the builder left, since that sets where the water goes.
Either way the base comes first: dug to firm soil, filled with base rock and compacted in layers.
Drainage stone, weep holes in walls and joint sand in pavers do the quiet work after that.
